Core Law focuses on recent changes to state and federal real estate, highlighting both laws and rules.

For students that already have the 8 Hour Specialty Credits this option is given to only take the 3 Hours of Core Law requirement for Florida Real Estate Licensees continuing education requirement for Broker, Broker-Associates, and Sales-Associate is the same. In order to renew their license, every florida real estate licensee is required to take a 14 hour continuing education course which consists of 3 hours of core law, 3 hours of ethics, 8 hours of specialty courses every two year period after the first renewal.

For the first time renewal, instead of this course, licensees are required to complete the appropriate Sales Associate Post-License or Broker Post-License. A classroom hour as defined by the Florida Real Estate Commission is 50 minutes of instruction and a 10 minute break. Other than completing the renewal requirements students can expect from the classroom version to learn something new and network with other colleagues in the industry.

There is no end-of-class exam if the licensee takes the continuing education in the live classroom or livestream setting. There is, however, an end-of-course exam if the licensee opts to take the continuing education class via distance learning (web), or correspondence (mail) students must score a grade of 80% or higher on the end-of-course exam to get continuing education credits via any other means that is not a live classroom or livestream setting.

Real estate licensees who are attorneys with current Florida Bar Card, are exempt from taking this course.
